When learning a game engine, I always make a game. I've done so with both Unity and Unreal in the past, and now it's time for Godot.

BUT!

This time I thought I'd spice it up a bit. You get to decide the features!

Rules:

  1. It will be a top down adventure game.
  2. The main character is a pixel.
  3. Don't make obscenely challenging and time consuming requests (eg. "Make it an MMO" or "Make the graphics like Hyper Light Drifter"). I won't be taking you seriously.

Other than that, go nuts! I'll make an update approximately every Saturday before midnight.

Questions to consider:

  • What is the goal of the game?
  • What should the player be able to do to reach that goal?
  • What kind of obstacles should exist?
  • What's the environment like?
  • Etc,
